A Snack Suggestion to Leave for Santa

By Jl Winther

My good friend, Beauty (who never lies) told me she saw Santa Claus recently in person. He was standing in line behind her at Café Rivera in the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. This was at lunchtime on Thursday, December 10.

Beauty said Santa looks like he never smoked or drank or sinned in his life. She says he said "Hello" to her with that famous twinkle in his eye. That made her day really special.

But best of all, Beauty told me that Santa ordered a cheesesteak. So if your looking for an idea, other than milk and cookies, to leave for Santa on Christmas eve, consider leaving him a delicious cheesesteak. It's super Santa snackage that's sure to be appreciated!

Merry Christmas!

Contributor's Note

Thanks for the info, Beauty (not her real name)! --I just wrote this for fun and did not realize that eating beef might be considered unkind and controversial. It gives me food for thought. --I think Santa might enjoy fruit salad too.

Santa will really have a tough time getting down the chimney if everyone leaves him cheesesteak.
Have a Merry.

hmmm, maybe I should rethink the cheesesteak snack. Thanks for your comments, they're always appreciated.

Well, I have to admit, the huge gut and red face do imply Santa likes his red meat. In my house, though, a cheesesteak gets a burial - preferably together with the rest of the mammal it was part of - and a prayer that its spirit will rest in peace. Cows are individuals with personalities you can make eye contact with and bond with, as anyone who has ever kept a cow will testify.

Sorry, Nick, I didn't mean to step on anyone's sensitivities. Thanks for sharing the link to Frederick's charming story. I appreciate your comments too.
