Squidoo Lens Online Self-Publishing

A Squidoo Lens is a free website where anyone can publish thoughts, ideas and research that links back to products in online galleries and shops. Lensmasters, the authors of lenses, can create multiple free Squidoo Lens websites. Lenses have the potential to be valuable merchandising tools. But who sees them? Only those who excel at advertising and self-promotion have successful lenses. The websites are easy and fun to design. But without successful promotion a well written Squidoo Lens complete with photos and illustrations will never be seen. I think of having a Squidoo Lens as having a back door open to my shops. The main puzzle is how to promote the lens in order to generate shop visits and ultimately purchases. Without promotion, even a well written Squidoo Lens website will never be found or read by anyone. Although I have created two, I'm not thrilled about having my own Squidoo Lenses. Honestly, they sit uncomfortably alone like wallflowers at a middle school dance. I have decided that it's better to promote relevent items from my shops in Others' successful Squidoo Lenses when invited. Self promotion is not my strength, but I especially enjoy and appreciate a good Squidoo Lens. Thanks to those with successful Squidoo Lenses who have invited and hosted links to my shops. I appreciate the backlinks and always enjoy reading and sharing my favorite Squidoo Lenses.

Ive got about 83 squidoo pages at this point and you are right, you do need to market them and get them out there. once you get a system down, it does not take too long though and once you have a lot of pages they provide momentum and all work together. you do get more traffic and money that way. Though I cant say I make lots of money from them - about $40 per month. I would be happy to make a lens about your some of you products if no one else has already. I have made a couple of pages for friends using zazzle before though it has been a while! Send me a note if you are interested.
